2006 Blue Heron July 4th Parade - Kids, Firemen, and ... the HULK!

For the 4th year in a row, The Incredible Hulk participated in the Neighborhood Parade riding in the Delta 88 Convertible. The Big Green Guy's first years was in 2003 and he returned in 2004 ... and despite having some muscle tone problems in 2005 (Dr. Zodiac Boat Repair (aka my brother Kurt) had to fix a leak) the Hulk showed up that year and again ended up in the pool. 2006 ended up being just as wet as some nice fellows from the Lafayette Fire Deparment showed up and used their water cannon to start the parade as can be seen below.

See the bottom of the page for a nifty time-lapse sequence of the parade start showing the free-for-all. I also had a webcam watching my growing grass (yep!) that captured an extended video sequence of the parade-go'ers as they went by my house. And a friend Eddie has some nice pictures of the July 4th parade in nearby Superior Colorado that are pretty nifty.

Lafayette Firemen provide a wet start to the 2006 Parade!
