Here's an action sequence of my brother Kris on the last run of
the day at Snowbird, Utah.
We are deep in the trees in the Gad/Thunder Chair area which are covered with
16" of snow (and not open the previous day) plus 50 MPH winds
the night before ... so it was over two feet in places. Scroll down
to see a sequence (0.15 seconds apart) of Kris getting BURIED
in Snowbird powder - be sure to see the closeups at the bottom!
Kris pops up above the snow ...
... starts to make his next turn ...
... as the ski tips pop up for a moment ...
... 0.15 seconds later, Kris starts his dive into a monster pow-pow patch ...
... and gets buried in a big pile of Snowbird Powder ...
... REALLY BURIED!
Closeup of frame #4 - Kris doesn't have his snorkel, so holding his breath!
